Prerequisite Mapping

AIR - Am I Ready?

Before you dive into a paper, a tool, or a concept - find out if you have what you need. AIR maps the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

1

Pick a target

Choose what you want to be ready for - a paper, a course, or a resource collection.

2

Check what you know

Tick the terms you understand. Be honest - the engine works better when you are.

3

See your shape

Get a readiness profile, gaps identified, and resources to fill them.

Not a score. A shape.

AIR doesn't reduce you to a number. It builds a profile - six attributes adapted to the domain you're exploring. The shape shows where you're strong and where there's work to do.

  • Attributes change by domain (ML has different axes than molecular biology)
  • Readiness bars for specific resources
  • General prerequisite bar for the whole area
  • Suggested resources for each gap

Check what you know. See if there is a pattern in what you do and don't know.

An honour system

AIR is self-reported. We include spot checks to calibrate, but fundamentally this works because you want it to work. Overestimate yourself and the recommendations won't help. Be honest and AIR becomes a compass.
